TRUE FAMILY BUSINESS: Retired dentist, David “Doc” Parkinson (1930-2014) founded the original Magleby’s restaurant over 40 years ago. For 20 of those years, Doc himself greeted customers at the door with his world-famous breadsticks and a hometown welcome. This is the kind of warm service that Magleby’s has become known for, along with fresh, locally sourced, homemade cooking.

THE MAGLEBY’S STORY: “Doc” Parkinson loved food the way he loved his life. He set out to create a culinary brand that reflected his zest for adventure and passion for quality service. Pushing the limits of excellence in all facets of living, he once played 127 holes of golf in one day and rode 400,000 miles on his three motorcycles over a span of time. This same spirit of enthusiasm is reflected in the family business. Forty years later and still going strong, Magelby’s continues to represent core family values, delicious dining, and perfected presentation. Together, with his wife of 50 years, and the generations that followed, the family has fulfilled Doc’s original dream to share truly great food with the world.

Continuing the family tradition, Doc’s son, Richard, now manages the newest Magleby’s restaurants, Magleby’s at Trivani and The Grotto. Located in a historic building on Main Street in Sprigville, Utah, Magleby’s at Trivani serves the time honored Magleby’s menu, while The Grotto is a premium steakhouse servicing mouth-watering USDA Prime Steaks.

Great food and service!

We really wanted a burger bar at our wedding, and everywhere we went they wanted 10k+ for 120 guests! We came across Maglebys and fell in love! Their food is AMAZING and working with Mary was so great, she answered all of my questions and was so flexible with the million changes I made. They even did the rental of the tables and linens for us so that we would not have to worry about taking care of it after the wedding! On the day of, the food was grilled on site and so delicious. They made sure that my new hubby and I each got plates, as we were a little occupied, and served everything so beautifully. The even whipped up a mushroom burger for a guest that is Vegan on the spot so that everyone could eat!
Their pricing was reasonable, service more than we could have asked for, and food just on spot!

Professional, affordable, and DELICIOUS

I cannot say enough amazing things about Magleby’s! The food was AMAZING. We had them do a flaming donut station that was the hit of our wedding- definitely ask about it! Not only was this the best food we had tried for the wedding but they were also the best price! Their professionalism is also top of the line. HIGHLY recommend!
