FAMILY-OWNED LUXURY: Goldener Hirsch has been owned and operated by the philanthropic Eccles family since 1992 and is the only family-owned luxury hotel in Deer Valley Resort. Named for the Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, Austria it was opened in 1991 by the Countess Walderdorff herself, with the unique hotel décor being influenced by the same Austrian furniture makers from the original hotel.
Known for their support and involvement with the Sundance Film Festival and the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, The Eccles can be found greeting hotel guests on Saturday mornings before setting out for weekly family ski day.
