It’s the Season for Giving and We Have Some Ideas
At Utah Live Bands we love that the holiday season keeps us busy. We’ve run from gig to gig, playing outdoor concerts, weddings, and corporate parties. But no matter how busy we get, we always remember how lucky we are to be able to join you as you celebrate with friends, co-workers, family, and other loved ones.
We also love how the holidays bring out the best in people. It’s a season of the year where we think a little bit more about what others need and try a little harder to help those in need.
This year Utah Live Bands had the opportunity to help out a terrific organization that does a lot for people all year round. We were privileged to partner with Vodoo Productions to provide blankets, stocking stuffers, and Christmas entertainment to the YCC Family Crisis Center.
The YCC Family Crisis Center is a community based organization that has been helping individuals and families in Northern Utah for more than 70 years. The YCC provides help to anyone in crisis, “We serve individuals from the ages of 1 day to 101 years old. Our domestic violence shelter and rape crisis center provide services 24/7 to victims and their children. As one of our clients told us, ‘YCC is a light in the darkness, reaching out to those who are trying to escape violence’.”
If you’d like to help out this organization, there are a few ways to do so.
If you live in Northern Utah, you can head over to their Movie Night fundraiser on Tuesday, December 27. Hosted by the Red Carpet Cinema (the old Movie Grille) located at 2293 Grant Avenue in Ogden, this is a fun opportunity to take your kids out and support a good cause. The theater will be showing Zootopia at 6 pm and The Jungle Book at 6:30 pm. Admission to the movie is free, but all drink sales will benefit the YCC Family Crisis Center. So be sure to drink up!
If you’re feeling like you want to do more than just buy a couple of drinks, the YCC can always use donations. For a list of needed donation items you can visit their donations page. The page lists things the center most needs and gives you the drop off location. You can also donate money to the YCC on their web page. The suggested donation amount is $25 but you can donate any amount you feel able to. If you’re feeling particularly generous this holiday season, you can even set up a subscription to donate $25 a month.

Thanks for letting us celebrate the holiday season with you. We wish you the best, merriest, and happiest days of the year!
