Shaun Canon & the Pops

As a vocalist and stage performer, Shaun has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Brian McKnight, Janelle Monae, Greyson Chance, David Archuleta, Lindsey Sterling, and many more. He won the UK Music Contest, Slice the Pie, decided by popular fan vote and recently performed on Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker.  His most recent album, “Superpop” melds comics and pop music, pushing the boundaries of the new Nerd Pop musical genre.

Aside from being a husband and father, perhaps his proudest achievement is working to keep music education in high schools and colleges with the Live for Music Program. So far, he has raised over $300,000 for music programs in local schools.

Shaun Canon
Vocalist

Shaun is a singer, songwriter, piano man, arranger, actor, and video producer (films, television, video games). He began studying the piano and the age of six and took vocal lessons from his mother, who was a professional opera singer. By the time he was fifteen, he was already writing his own songs and recorded his first album at sixteen, titled “Big Bang Theory”. After touring and producing a second album, the talented teen set out to build a solid career in music.

He went on to become a top contestant on Season 7 of American Idol in 2008 and was invited to perform for former President George W. Bush. Other credits include writing the theme song for Shadow Complex, the top-selling and award-winning video game of 2009, winning a Platinum AVA award as co-producer of the TV show “Vivir Bailando,” and being nominated for an Emmy for his music video Army of Kings in 2010. He has created numerous music videos, including “Don’t Carry It All” with Lindsey Stirling.
